Minions everywhere!
The Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie delivers an uncompromising blow with their latest release. Industrial metal collides with punk rock, hitting you straight in the face. The lyrics tear apart the absurdities of public life—politicians, bureaucrats, climate change deniers, loudmouths, corporate landlords (Vonovia, LEG Immobilien, Deutsche Wohnen, TAG Immobilien, and the like), and parliamentary clowns. Rather than simply raging against them, the band transforms all these characters into a grotesque army of Minions: loud, irritating, and all around.

The title is pure mockery—raw contempt wrapped in a song, a musical kick aimed squarely at politics. Crushing guitars, a relentless groove, and a chorus built to be shouted at full volume. Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie delivers a track that refuses to compromise and burrows deep into your head.

Welcome!

The Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie (AGL) delivers electro rock at its finest. Catchy melodies and Loð Brók’s crushing guitars, combined with danceable rhythms, provide the solid foundation for uncompromising political and social commentary. Whether heartfelt, ironic, theatrical, or bitingly cynical, the lyrics are brought to eager ears by Bakunin Eisner and Luna Tick.

Provocative satire dressed to offend, pulling no punches and unafraid to ask uncomfortable questions.

And if that’s still not enough, AGL’s live performances are elevated by the captivating and versatile dance performance of Ina Baller.

Words from the press

SpontisSpontis

“…The boys and girls could only beat that by blowing up the hall. That was a truly magnificent show, professionally performed and totally exciting.”

“… Anyone who gets involved with this work will be rewarded with a unique experience – provided they are prepared to leave their comfort zone. Live, this album should be as intense as it is disturbing. …”

“The Bavarian formation indulges in a solid mix of NDH guitar and synthetic dark wave flair, which also comes with a high earworm factor.”

“…the music always seems like a play. As a result, ‘Unerhört!’ also has something of a drama, but packaged in music instead of being presented in classical dialogue.”

“… They promised an album which will provide statements with critical and snappy lyrics. In that, they succeeded! …“

„…they almost turn the live-event into a cabaret-satire-show, which is more than remarkable for a band of this size – the aspect of the above mentioned „artists‘ collective“ comes into effect here, including the ballerina on stage. …“

…NDH with heavy guitars as well as contrasting voices, ballet and beats make for memorable sounds as ‘Satirical Movement Metal’.”

„…And right in the middle is one particularly important song. „Teilt“ (share) is just one word, but you have to imagine thousands of people singing that chorus while standing in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange… maybe the bull and the bear would finally embrace.“

“… The Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie again proves their musical class and their ability to get to the bottom of complex societal topics. The heavy sound and the multi-layered lyrics make this album an unforgettable listening experience. Who didn’t know the band so far will become a fan now at the latest. …“

„…The band’s foundation lies in dark rock, electro, and NDH, brought to life with a refreshingly distinctive approach…“

Who are we?

Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie—a name that sticks with you, unsettles, and demands a second thought. In a world numbed by meaningless headlines and manipulative messaging, words lose their meaning and independent thought begins to fade. Like a real lobotomy, this constant barrage of noise dulls our ability to think clearly.

That’s exactly where the band steps in: music that challenges, provokes, and refuses to stay silent. A loud antidote to mental numbness, a statement against the everyday anaesthesia of modern life. Because before you can reclaim control of your own mind, you first have to realize that you’ve lost it.

Bakunin Eisner
does things

Bakunin Eisner knew from an early age that something was wrong. While other children played free of any care, he carried a responsibility that should never have been placed on his shoulders. Even at school, he stood out—not because he caused trouble, but because he asked too many questions. Questions nobody wanted to hear. Questions that made people uncomfortable.

But he refused to let go. With every new discovery, he tried to warn others, to reveal the connections they chose not to see. But who listens when the truth is inconvenient? Rejection, misunderstanding, frustration—Bakunin began to channel his inner fire somewhere different. His anger at the world around him started to take shape: words became lyrics, lyrics became songs. It was not merely music. It was a call.

As neoliberalism continued its relentless expansion and gave rise to new faces of the same old problems, as injustice spread further and cast its shadow over everyday life, Bakunin searched for allies. People who refused to look away. People who understood that change does not happen on its own.

Then came the idea—a movement, an artistic collective that would not only create music, but carry a message. Arbeitsgruppe Lobotomie was born. Anyone unwilling to stand by and watch can become part of it. Anyone ready to challenge the paralyzing forces of stagnation is welcome. Because sometimes, that is exactly what it takes: a melody that burns itself into the mind. Words that refuse to disappear. And a collective that is more than a band—a voice for everything that has been silenced for far too long.
